This book is the result of extensive study and research done on the subject by Mr. Sureyya Ersoy, the retired director of the Fulbright Commission in Istanbul Turkey and the current educational consultant of the Turkish American University Association. As Fulbright director, Mr. Ersoy was instrumental in the advancement of education in Turkey, and Turkish studies in the United States, advising, assisting and mentoring students, researchers, teachers, counselors and administrators. He now is active in the cultural and educational programs of the Turkish American University Association.
